Pink Leg Warmers
I knew they’d be bright. But surrounded by all the black and white, they are Vegas bright. Blinding almost. But they’d always been my dream. Sure when I was young I dreamed of being a princess and of getting a purple Huffy bike and of living in a house made of cheese. But I’d also dreamed of owning a pair of hot pink leg warmers. My parents bought me gray ones for Christmas. And we could only wear the black ones for ballet class. The hot pink leg warmers always eluded me. Until now. I found them online accidentally while searching for a pink dog collar. And I bought them.
So today I’m wearing my new hot pink leg warmers–just a princess in heels leaving her house made of cheese. Go ahead, people, and stare. You’re looking at a dream come true.
