Chasing Eveline Release Celebration (July 11, 2017)
Chasing Eveline is my debut YA novel about Ivy Higgins who sets herself on a course to reunite 80s band Chasing Eveline. Chasing Eveline–whom you can meet here–is a band out of Ireland that had a brief but successful run. It was Ivy’s mom’s favorite band, and since Ivy’s mom up and left two summers ago, it’s Ivy’s last link to her mom. But in order to reunite the band (and maybe find her mom???), Ivy will have to get herself from Indiana to Ireland.
Ireland…it’s such a lovely country. I’ve been there and can attest to the fact that people are some of the most friendly I’ve encountered in all my overseas traveling. I went to Dublin, Kilkenny (and several small towns nearby), and Wexford. I DROVE from Kilkenny to Wexford. Why the all caps, you ask? Because I drove ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD. Well, at least for me it was the wrong side of the road. That was quite an adventure.
So if Ivy gets to Ireland, this is some of what she might see…
