The artist has lived there all his life. Every day from noon until two, he comes out on his balcony and sketches. Gloom or sun, he is there each day. This is the only time the townspeople see him. He never leaves. Neighbors plant the flowers outside his front door and sweep the courtyard at his entrance. They leave groceries for him every Sunday. In return, once a week he sets out a painting in the middle of the night.
The town loves its artist. And its artist is inspired by them.
