It’s pumpkin time. For most people. But for one girl, October brings a much a different kind of orange joy. Magical persimmons. She always forgets when they are in season. The thought of them drifts into her mind throughout the year like quick gusts of wind, but it is soon forgotten amidst all the apples and berries and citrus. So today as she casually strolled past the Pink Lady apples and the Bosc pears, a small mound of orange tugged at her eye. There they were, the persimmons. Like a treasure that had appeared out of nowhere. Perhaps her mind forgets on purpose. Just so she can have this moment, the one where her heart floats and her breath catches at the sight of the magical persimmons.
