I was wandering lonely as a cloud for the past month. Then all at once at the market I saw a host of golden daffodils, beside the checkout, in front of the bananas, resting and laying in a basket. I could not but be brightened in such a jovial company. I bought and arranged them, but little thought what wealth the show to me had brought.
But now when on my couch I lie, watching TV in a vacant mood, they flash upon my darkened mind. And then my heart with pleasure fills and hope returns with those daffodils.
