She woke up with resolve. She bought pounds of fresh vegetables and fruits at that healthy market in her town. Once home, she poured herself a tall glass of fresh, cold water and set to work. She diced and chopped, then she tossed and broiled. When she was finished, a rainbow of vitamins stretched out before her. But there was something missing. She wanted to like it, she wanted to savor every bite. She wanted to love being healthy. But it wasn’t in her heart.
So she dashed out to the closest drugstore, bought a bag of cookies, and ate every single one stretched out on the couch in utter bliss.
