She heard once that wishing upon the fluff of a dandelion can make a dream come true. So when she saw that lone perfect cottony sphere of fluff rising up between the flowers and blades of grass, she couldn’t resist. She gently plucked it from the ground, drew in a breath, and exhaled her one great hope and dream. Tiny wisps of fluff scattered into the air around her.
And now she waits.
